Mind your own business! Yep, that's pretty much how I used to feel when people would ask me about my relationship with God. Now don't get me wrong, I think that we should spend time alone with God whether it's praying, worshiping, or studying His word (Matthew 6:6-But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you). But here is the other side of the coin, God doesn't ask us to be 'private' Christians. Think of the logistics of it...how would others know about Him if we just kept Him locked away in our heart (Matthew 5:14, 16-You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden...In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven). Letting your light shine could be as simple as helping in your community (and having a good attitude about it), bringing dinner to a family that has just welcomed home a new baby, or smiling at the person helping you in the check-out line at the grocery store. Make people take notice and say "Hey what's up with her/him?!" (and in a good way). Now, let's go out and shine! This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine...
Time...Where did it go?
